Our Team

Donald Stinespring, Jr.
Donald Stinespring, Jr. is a third-generation attorney and lifelong advocate for his clients. He graduated from Richmond-Burton High School in 1990 and earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from St. Olaf College in 1994. Continuing a family legacy in the law, Don went on to receive his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School.

After joining the firm in 1997, Don expanded its practice to include personal injury litigation, significantly shaping the firm’s growth and client reach. Throughout his career, he has represented individuals and families in complex, high-stakes matters, with a focus on wrongful death and serious injury cases.

Don was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1997 and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the State of Wisconsin.

In 2019, Don obtained a $7.5 million jury verdict in a wrongful death case—the highest reported jury verdict in McHenry County for the wrongful death of an adult child. In addition, Don successfully represented a family in a wrongful death lawsuit arising from E. coli contamination in a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese, securing a substantial confidential settlement. This result reflects his willingness to take on powerful defendants and his commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes for his clients.

Don regularly serves as an Arbitrator for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, volunteers with Prairie State Legal Services, Alliance Defense Fund, and Administer Justice.
