Donald Stinespring, Jr.

Don is a third generation attorney who graduated from Richmond-Burton High School in 1990. After graduating cum laude from St. Olaf College in 1994, Don followed in his father's footsteps in the field of law, and attended John Marshall Law School.

In 1997, Don was admitted to practice law in Illinois. Don is also admitted to practice law before the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court. When Don joined the firm in 1997, he immediately expanded the firm's specialties by handling personal injury cases. In 2019, Don Jr. obtained a jury verdict of $7.5 million for a wrongful death case--McHenry County's highest reported jury verdict for the wrongful death of an adult child.

In 2006, Don again expanded the firm's clientele by receiving his license to practice law in Wisconsin. Don regularly serves as an Arbitrator for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, is on the Board of Directors at a local bank, and volunteers with Prairie State Legal Services, Alliance Defense Fund, and Administer Justice.

William G. Gebis

William “Bill” G. Gebis is committed to helping clients in family law and real estate matters. He understands family law matter, real estate matters, and other civil law matters, and pursues each client’s goals diligently to achieve reasonable outcomes to resolve the client’s issues. He understands the complexity of each client’s matters and adjusts his approach to match each situation.

Bill is listed on the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, Lake County Family Child Representative and Guardian Ad Litem list and has been appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem in multiple matters, thereby protecting the best interests of minor children.

 

Prior to joining Donald C. Stinespring & Associates, Bill worked for a Lake County law firm as well as a general law practice in McHenry County counseling clients in family law, real estate and other civil matters. Prior to obtaining his law license, Bill had over 20 years of successful experience in the business world, including manufacturing, telecommunications and logistics organizations.

 

Bill graduated from John Marshall Law School in 2013. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University graduating magna cum laude in 2008.

Bill is committed to giving back to the community through his involvement in many organizations. He is currently a member of the Ordinance Committee for the Village of Johnsburg and is involved in local youth organizations. He has volunteered with the Center for Disability and Elder Law Inc. and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. 

 

Bill is a long time resident of McHenry County where he lives with his wife, Marikay and two children.

Donald C. Stinespring Richmond Attorney

Don graduated from McHenry High School in 1967. After graduating from St. Olaf College in 1970, Don attended John Marshall Law School.

In 1973, Don joined his father’s firm in Chicago upon admission to practice law in Illinois. Don is admitted to practice law before the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court. After the passing of his father in 1976, Don opened his own practice in McHenry County and became the founding partner of the firm. In over 48 years of practicing law, Don has dealt with almost every type of case, has employed up to three different generations of the same family at the firm, and still finds the time for his wife of over 50 years, his three children, and six grandchildren. Don has served on the Board of Directors of a local bank and is a former Chairman and member of the Board of Directors with Centegra Health Systems and its predecessor – Northern Illinois Medical Center.
